ISSETA members are continuously monitoring and contributing to advancements within the industry.

They are actively represented at international organisations, such as the International Maritime Organization (IMO), the European Marine Safety Agency (EMSA), and the International Organisation for Standardisation (ISO) and they maintain close communication with all major maritime organisations.

Recently, ISSETA has been heavily involved in setting standards within the marine firefighting industry, which is not yet regulated to the same extent as other maritime equipment. This work is carried out in close cooperation with marine authorities and equipment manufacturers in the sector.
